The rotating bit edges groove the electrode on the anvil surface to cut it into small pieces which fall into a collector container.

(54) DEVICE FOR PART SEPARATION The invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure, in particular for cutting wire and tape materials, and can be used in industry for cutting waste electrodes of electrical erosion machines. A device for dividing a lengthy material is known, comprising a housing, feed rollers associated with a rotational drive, and a separation assembly in the form of a support and a multi facet tool rotatably mounted and cooperating with support tl. The drawback of the device is that the support is rigid and when the multifaceted tool interacts with it, the tool quickly blunt and the reliability of the device decreases. The absence of a guide also reduces the reliability of the device. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the device and the tool life. To achieve this goal, a device for dividing a lengthy material into parts, comprising a housing, feed rollers associated with a drive, and a separation unit in a LONG-DIMENSIONAL MATERIAL in the form of a support and a multifaceted tool installed with the possibility of rotation and interaction with the support, is provided with a guide placed between the feed rollers and the separation unit, whose support is made in the form of a tilting plate and is spring-loaded relative to the housing, and the tool is connected by means of an intermediate gear to the feed rollers. Intermediate transmission can be made up. FIG. 1 shows the device, a general view; in fig. 2-4 are the same as material separation steps. The device comprises a housing 1 with inlet 2 and outlet 3 holes and feed rollers 4 and 5 disposed therein, a separation assembly and a guide 6 rigidly connected with housing 1 and located between the delivery rollers and the separation assembly. The electrostatically charged copper electrode 12 used in the erosion process is fed by the feed rollers 4 and 5 of Fig. 1. By means of the edges of the tool 10, the electrode 12 is pressed against the surface 15 of the support, and a notch is made on the electrode (Fig. 3), i.e. at the place of the notch, the copper electrode becomes thinner in its cross section. Due to the fact that the support is spring-loaded in the housing, the tool 10 does not completely separate the piece 16, does not completely push the notch.
